Small Finish

It only took about a week to finish this small kit from Mill Hill Beads.  I left the button off.  Now I just need to find a small frame to completely finish this one off.20190112_203841

I have gone back to Topiary Christmas by Imaginating for now.  Here is where I was last time I stitched on this in April.

New Year Finishes

I finished a couple of projects as teacher gifts.  My son called them “Dad jokes” but I think they were appreciated.  I was in a rush to frame them so I wish I ironed them a little better.  I am happy with the results.  Both patterns were purchased from Nerdy Little Stitcher on Etsy.  Nerdy Little Stitcher

I started working on a Mill Hill kit I found in my stash.  I really like working on these kits.  It is called Autumn Gold.  It is about 35 x 50 stitches.  I am hoping it is a quick stitch.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful 2019!

Finally some free time

I sat down last weekend and finished 2 items that I stitched a very long time ago.  First, I made a Halloween pillow for my niece’s birthday.  The chart is pumpkins on parade and is from carousel charts.  Carousel Charts website

Instead of using this one as a pillow sleeve, I stuffed it and made a tiny pillow.  It is a good reminder to all of us.  It is Pine Mountain Gratitude Pillow Sleeve .  I bought it from Stoney Creek here.  Pine Mountain Gratitude

I received my order from 1-2-3 stitch super fast.  One of my sons loves penguins so I ordered this cute Mill Hill kit.  I will start right after I finish (or get bored with) my latest project.

I ordered black aida to stitch this pattern I bought on Etsy.  It should be a quick stitch.  I usually start stitching dead center of a pattern.  The way this pattern printed out, half the word sweet is on one page and half on another page.  It is so annoying to flip back and forth and hopefully count correctly!  Anyone else have this pet peeve?

See ya Soon,

Time to Check in

This year has been trying to say the least but I thought it was time to check in.  My mom had been sick for most of the year and unfortunately passed away last month.  This along with the general busy-ness of being a mom to 3 boys has cut into my stitching time and mojo.  Here is what I have been up to.

My niece Erika got married in August.  Here is the finished project.  You can find the pattern here.  Wedding Pattern

I also worked on Topiary Christmas by Imaginating a bit.  Here is where I stopped.

I also keep small projects in my car in case I feel like stitching while waiting for the kids.  I finished this birthday card and started another small kit.

New Project

I have been working on a new project, Topiary Christmas by Imaginating.  I just haven’t gotten around to posting updates so here are a few progress pictures.   I cut my fabric too small so I might not be able to do  outline.  We’ll see!

I finished something else that has been sitting in a drawer unfinished for way too long!  January of 2014 to be exact.  Wish I got better pics of the snowflake beading but couldn’t wait to share.  Mill Hill Beads-Winter Woods

The next project I will be starting is Topiary Christmas by Ursula Michael.  This has been on my wish list since I started this blog 5 years ago.  I finally bought the pattern last month.

A Finish!

I finished She Believed by Lizzie Kate this weekend.  I changed the yellow to a less muted tone as well as the pink.  I would probably like this better if I changed out the color of the words.  This was quick and easy.

I also decided to see what WIPs I had.  I have 4 that I would like to work on this year.

Winter Woods by Mill Hill Buttons and Beads.  I am about halfway done with the stitching part.

The Neighborhood by Funk & Weber.  I probably started this years ago when my boys were smaller and into the solar system.  I have completed Mars and Venus and started on the Sun and Earth.

My Heart Beats True by Waxing Moon Designs.  Don’t know why the color recommended is more green than blue.  I think I may switch that out before I go further.

This last one might be older than my kids. 😉  Caught Napping by Bucilla  I have so much completed yet, I haven’t been motivated to get this one finished.  Maybe this is the year!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Happy New Year!

It has been a long while since I posted. I have been super busy and I lost some of my stitching mojo.  I finished these in December but forgot to post.

I bought these cute owl pendents off Amazon.  I was going to make them into neckalaces for the co-workers but never got around to it.  Maybe next year!

I also finished this cute design from https://www.weelittlestitches.com/

My current project is She believed she could from Lizzie Kate.  I changed a couple of the colors because I am not really into muted shades.  We’ll see how it turns out.

If I am not back her soon, have a wonderful January!

Vacation is over!

My job gives me a 5 week vacation in the summer and I spent some of that time stitching.  I got a lot completed.  🙂

Peace by Imaginating -completed and my starting point at the beginning of July.

My LNS was having a 40% off sale for charts 2015 and older, so of course, I had to make some purchases.

20170730_101436

I also got “I love you more than all the stars” by Bent Creek.  I stitched on bookmark fabric.  One of the twins claimed this right away for his room.

20170801_13480720170731_153430

I also finished Winter Quilt by Imaginating.  I hadn’t worked on this one since 2013!

I also finished Pink Flamingos by Tiny Modernist.

20170807_172607

I am working on the Chocolate pattern from Kit and Bixby now but forgot to take a picture.  Back to work, school and sports for the kids means my stitching time is practically gone.  We’ll see how far I get.  See ya next time,

Mary
